Things to look for when you buy a portable

  1. Make sure it's on a sled--even if you have to drag it 20 feet, it can be a pain.  It's not a portable if it's not on a sled.
  2. Make sure it compacts down so that you can easily put it in the back of a car, pickup, or atv--even if it's on a trailer, you still want it low to cut the wind.
  3. Make sure it's stable and built durable enough to take on the harshest conditions--the WEATHER WHILE ICE FISHING IS THE MOST TUMULTUOUS OF ANY SPORT, besides mountain climbing that I can think of.
  4. Make sure YOUR FEET STAY INSIDE THE SLED--ice is cold and slippery.  Why stand on it when you have a portable?
  5. Look for clearance head and rod.  It's nice to stand up without having waves of 20 below zero wind bursts coming at you.  THINK ABOUT COMFORT.  Also make sure your rod doesn't have to hit the canvas every time you set the hook!
  6. It's nice to have some universality in where you put the holes, AND WHY NOT BUY ONE THAT YOU CAN SPEAR AS WELL AS FISH OUT OF?  You never know,  if you had a portable that you could spear out of, then you just might want to try it.  In my opinion, it's a lot like hunting and it's pretty cool seeing them cruize through.
  7. Make sure it's something that is EASY to set up and one that will not LOSE PARTS AT NIGHT OR during the day for that matter.  What fun would it be to bring out a portable across a lake just to find a pole missing?
  8. BLACK CANVAS takes in the sun during the day.  Most of the time, if fishing while the sun is out, a person doesn't need a heater.
  9. CAN  TOW BAR BE HOOKED UP TO IT?
  10. HOW LONG WILL IT LAST?
  11. Does the canvas separate from the unit?  Taking the canvas off in the spring and placing it back on in the winter will help PREVENT MICE FROM CHEWING THEIR WAY THROUGH IN THE FALL.

As you can see, everything folds down into a 59 X 40 X 8 inch sled. Reassure this weight is perfect to provide stability and still light enough to lift. Note: Handles on both sides lock in place and make it easy to tote.

MYTH:   Every fish house is the same.

FACT:  Most fish houses are either too bulky to be portable or too small to be comfortable.  FastShack's Patented design permits any number of anglers to attach on any side.

Whether you fish alone or with others, FastShack permits you to be portable to find the fish and at the same time you never run out of space regardless of how many people you want to go with.  Make fishing fun not a chore.  Make fishing comfortable not miserable.

Plus: Compare just some of the other features to most portable fish houses.
